THE NOSE
KNOWS
Education for Canine Professionals
Learn to Read Dogs
Trainers . Vet Techs . Groomers . Boarding Staff . Shelter Volunteers
Dogs see with their nose. Dogs need their nose to "understand." We start from the premise that dogs perceive the world differently from us. When we respect that — and learn to see how they are feeling — our work with them changes.
Curriculum Focus
Our education programs are ideal for canine professionals needing a better grasp of:
Fixing reactivity and fear aggression with dogs or people.
Discovering why dogs develop reactivity, how to prevent it and reverse it.
Helping owners confidently read body language in our busy world.
Supporting positive interactions with strangers to reverse fear-based and aggressive behavior.
Keeping handlers and dogs safe.

"Margaret is a modern-day 'dog whisperer'! She is very gentle and loving with her training. She is extremely knowledgeable in all things canine."
"Margaret is an excellent trainer and person. Not only does she train the dogs, but she helps you understand life from their perspective."
"Margaret is so good at understanding dog behaviors.... minute details that make or break success in training. She is able to explain things from a dogs perspective so that you can really understand the 'whats' and 'whys' of the training process."
"From the moment I met Margaret and her team, I felt hope. They are some of the most compassionate, intelligent, and genuinely caring people I’ve ever met. They welcomed Clover exactly as she was — nervous, unsure, and overwhelmed — and treated her with such gentleness and patience. And they didn’t just work with her; they worked with me too. They taught me how to read her body language, how to help her regulate, and how to show her she’s safe now. They gave us both the tools to succeed."
